If any of this procedure scares you, then ask a competent friend to help you, or better yet a competent electrical tradesman. We know you can do this, as we have done all of the things outlined in this book, and many others have too. But if you are for any reason not comfortable with electricity (and some of us are not ) then get some help with this project. Even if it is just having someone else around while you work on your home renewable energy system, it is a good idea. Even after 15 years living with our own battery-based system, I never, ever touch it without someone else being home. Ever. Think safety first and everything will be fine.
